Core Finance served as the exclusive financial advisor for ATAR Labs’ acquisition by Micro Focus, a major British technology corporation. Established in 2017 by Burak Dayıoğlu, Gökhan Say, and Murat Tora with backing from Diffusion Capital Partners, ATAR specializes in Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response solutions.
The company, headquartered in Ankara with 25 employees, combines orchestration, incident management, and investigation capabilities to serve Security Operation Center teams.
The deal expands Micro Focus’ presence in the SOAR sector by combining their ArcSight SIEM platform with ATAR’s offerings, creating product and customer synergies. The transaction represents the first significant cyber security acquisition in Turkey and demonstrates Micro Focus’ commitment to maintaining the R&D laboratory within the country.

The deal marks Core Finance’s third transaction in 2020.
