While on-demand services addressed physical needs, they intensified social disconnection. Only 26% of people know most of their neighbors, and 79% of Gen Z reports loneliness.
OneRoof distinguishes itself by targeting individual buildings rather than geographic regions, enabling residents to connect through shared spaces and interests. The platform facilitates activities ranging from puppy play dates to bartering and service exchanges.
As of our investment, OneRoof operates across 600+ residential buildings with 17,200 monthly active users growing 50%+ monthly. The platform launched in February 2021 from New York, expanded to Miami, with Boston and Los Angeles planned.
Founders Selin Sonmez and Niko Georgantas, both serial entrepreneurs, previously exited another venture. Institutional backing includes General Catalyst, Kleiner Perkins, and Dream Machine VC.
